George M. Craig / Linda Craig
George Left School at 16 years old with an O Level in Navigation, he secured immediate employment with Cook & Martin Joiners in Eyemouth where he served his time as a joiner. After completing his apprenticeship he moved swiftly up the management ladder with serval companies finishing his career as an employee, project managing several large sites across Northumberland one of which was Berwick upon Tweed fire station.

Upon self-employment working as a joiner this developed into Castle Kitchens with a kitchen Show room on Castle Gate in Berwick upon tweed during this phase of the company development George and Linda were seeking out building plots and renovation projects as smaller developers. This soon progressed into buying larger projects for development. During the development of the company George has been backed up by his wife Linda who has been Company secretary since the company inception.

George & Linda were both competitive sailors in their youth with Linda making history as the only female ever to win the winter series at Berwick Sailing club. George enjoyed success as a competitive slalom skier through the 90’s with serval top finishes. They are both still much involved in the day to day running of GMC and enjoy travelling around Scotland and spending time with their 6 Grand Children.

Neil also left School at 16 to start as an apprentice at GMC in joinery, after completing the 3 year apprenticeship Neil was accepted into Napier University in Edinburgh to study ‘Construction Project Management’ a 4 year honours degree. While studying Neil completed a New build project, a complete renovation of a historic house in Berwick upon Tweed, a compete refurbishment of a Georgian flat in New town Edinburgh and spent a summer in America as a Life guard on a water sports summer camp.

On completion of his course at Napier Neil returned to join forces with George and drive the company forward. Neil has a history in competitive Swimming/ Rugby and triathlons and now enjoys spending time with his family Surfing & Fitness.

During 2016 Neil qualified as a top national competitor and invited to compete at the ISA – SUP surf & race World Championship event in Fiji representing Scotland!
